TGV PSE trainset
The TGV or "Train à Grande Vitesse" is a French train built by Alstom and operated by SNCF, the French national railway company. A TGV test train driven by Eric Pieczak set the record for the fastest wheeled train, reaching 574.8 km/h (357.2 mph) on 3 April 2007. The TGV PSE (Paris Sud-Est) fleet was built between 1978 and 1988 and operated the first TGV service from Paris to Lyon in 1981.
