Saint Bernard dogs have a gentle character, they are very loyal and clever animals and they love to please the owners. The Saint's are always some combination of tan and white or brindle and white. The most famous St. Bernard to save people at the Great St. Bernard Pass was Barry , who reportedly saved somewhere between 40 and 100 lives.
