Launched on 12 May 1953, Esmeralda is a steel-hulled four-masted barquentine tall ship in the Chilean Navy. With a length of 113 m (371 ft) and a mast height of 48.5 meters (159 ft), Esmeralda is currently the second tallest and longest sailing ship in the world. Training ship Esmeralda is a symbol of the Chilean navy and it's nicknamed "the White Lady".
